candidate to receive a Private Pilot Certificate. They are 40 Hours of flight
time including a minimum of 20 hours of instruction and at least 10 hours of
solo flight time. The current national average is 71 hours. We currently
quote it at 50 hours and do everything we can to help you meet this goal.
The following is a list of publications and supplies that will
be required for the Instrument rating and are readily available in our pilot
shop.
Instrument Rating The instrument Rating Course is a very complex series of ground
and flight lessons. The IFR world is very different from the VFR activity we
are used to. We approach this complexity with a very structured series of
flight sessions which will teach you to the standard and requirements dictated by 14 CFR 61.65,
which indicate that a minimum of 40 hours of instrument time (actual or
simulated) must be completed by the applicant. We use this 40 hour
requirement as the basis for our training.
As is with the Private Pilot course we quote it at 50 hours and do all
we can to assist you in meeting this goal.

Commercial Pilot Whether you are seeking a career as a
pilot or just trying to hone your skills, the Commercial Pilot certificate
will bring you one step closer. It holds
you to higher standards and introduces several new maneuvers that will
increase your skill as a pilot as well as introduce you more complex
aircraft. To qualify for the
Commercial Pilot Certificate you must have at least 250 hours of total time

obtained in the Private Pilot portion of your training.
