THE FLIGHT SCHOOL

GROUND SCHOOL:

We offer structured Ground Classes for Private, Instrument, and Commercial certificates. They are taught by our instructors in the classroom at our facility. These classes are designed to expose a person to all of the material required for both the FAA Knowledge Test and the Oral Exam portion of the Check-Ride. Class sizes are always limited to between 6 and 10 people to create a perfect learning environment. Class costs are $250 for Private Pilot, $300 for Instrument, and $400 for Commercial. These prices do not include the cost of books. For a list of required materials, view the individual Syllabuses for those classes.

Schedule

Class schedule depends on each quarter as to whether it will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings or all-day classes on Saturday. In either case, all ground schools will give you over 30 hours of instruction and classroom time to prepare for you check ride.

All ground classes are taught on an as-needed basis. We have a waiting list which requires a $100 deposit to reserve your spot in the class. When we have a minimum of 4, maximum of 10, people registered for class we schedule the class roughly 2-3 weeks out, depending on holidays and student conflicts. If you are unable to attend one or more of the scheduled class days, we will provide the material for you to make up on your own, or arrangements can be made for one-on-one instruction with one of our instructors.
